Music Lovers: any advice for favorite make/model of stereo speakers around $2000-3000/pair?

I search this and seen alot of general references to Paradigm, B&W, Klipsch, Boston Acoustic, and JMLab to name a few. I am curious about which models you prefer or own? Are towers generally the best, or can Bookshelf Speakers give the range you want? I’ve also heard alot of people swearing by Martin Logan and Magnepan.

Bose? Are you kidding me?!

Read up on speakers. The lady wants high-end speakers, not over-priced garbage.

Possibly the most forgiving speaker on the market would have to be Vienna Acoustic Mozart’s. Not only are they hand crafted and look absolutely gorgeous, but they sound so elegant and beautiful. Music seems so much mellow-er out of these speakers.

If you want a great stereo Experience, check out the Martin Logan Clarity’s. The electro-stat full range radiator is the most exact reproduction of sound. They have sick cross-over and create an amazing sound stage. They’re very directional though, but sound so crisp and clean, you’ll forget you’re listening to music in your home, and think that the band is playing just for you.

If you want crazy speakers that are just all out balls-to-the-wall, check out Definitive Technology 7000SC’s. These towers mean business. They boast three 14″ reference series subs, four 5 1/4″ mid ranges and two tweeters. Their bi-polars, and would have no problem filling a room, and no problem blowing you out of your socks.

But if you’re looking for a speaker to handle all types of music, I would sincerely recommend Vienna Acoustic Mozart’s. They are just amazing works of art.
